✨ Sis, You Good?

An Open Letter from the Girl Get Up Family

Hey sis,

We just want to start by asking something we don’t hear enough — Sis, you good? Not in the “I’m just checking the box” way. But like... really. Are you breathing deep? Are you sleeping peacefully? Are you holding something in because you don’t know who’s safe enough to hold space for you?

We see you.

And whether your answer is “I’m good,” “I’m figuring it out,” or “I’m just trying to make it through the day” — this space was created for you.

Welcome to Sis, You Good?, the official blog of Girl Get Up Inc. — a place where real stories, hard truths, deep healing, and big wins are shared out loud. No filters. No pressure to be perfect. Just a space where Black and Brown girls, women, and femme-identifying folks can unpack, unlearn, uplift, and unapologetically rise.

Here, we’ll talk about:

  • What it feels like to fall apart and get back up again.

  • Mental health, mentorship, and self-worth.

  • Navigating friendships, family, and finding your voice.

  • Stories from our girls, our mentors, and our village.

  • Moments that changed us — and the ones that helped us heal.

Why? Because sometimes just seeing that someone else gets it is the first step in our own healing.

This blog isn’t just content. It’s community. It’s sisterhood. It’s a soft place to land when the world feels hard. And most importantly, it’s your reminder that you are never alone.

So, pull up. Read a little. Cry if you need to. Laugh when you can. And if no one else asks this week, we’re asking again…

Sis, you good?

We love you — for real.

With so much light,
The Girl Get Up Team 💜
